FIRST VISIT
What to expect.
The studio is a dedicated building on my property outside Corvallis, fully separate from my house. A gravel path lined with wood rounds leads you to the entrance. Quiet, private, built for this work.
A first visit can feel like a lot to hold in your head, so here's everything you might want to know before you arrive.
BEFORE YOU COME
Finding the studio
Once you book, I'll send you the address, parking instructions, and anything you'll need to find the property. Because it's a private studio, the address isn't public.
One note: my road is residential with a posted 10 mph speed limit. Please honor it. My neighbors and I appreciate it.
What to wear
For massage, wear whatever you like. You'll dress down to your own comfort level on the table, including fully undressed if you prefer. You'll always be properly draped.
For shiatsu, you stay clothed the whole session. Come in athletic-style clothing, something you could stretch in. Think yoga pants and a t-shirt. Skip jeans, belts, buckles, or anything stiff.
Timing
Please arrive on time. Your first session includes a thorough intake plus your full two hours on the table, so we need the whole window.
Payment
Pre-payment is required to confirm your booking. Details are built into the booking flow.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Shoes off at the door
It's a quiet space. Shoes come off when you come in. Wear socks you don't mind being seen in, or go barefoot.
Pets
I have animals on the property, but they stay separate from the studio. You won't be interrupted, though they might say hi through the fence when you arrive.
Intake
Your first session starts with a warm, unhurried intake. I want to understand your body, your history, and what brought you here before any hands-on work begins.
The space
Quiet, warm, private. A bathroom is available. Blankets, bolsters, pillows, and warmth options are all here. There's no shower on site.
GOOD TO KNOW
Water
Water is always available. Drink plenty before and after your session.
Accessibility
The entry is a gravel path lined with wood rounds, no stairs. If accessibility is a consideration for you, text me before you book and we'll make sure it works.
After your session
Plan a slow landing. Don't rush back into traffic or a meeting. Give your body the exit ramp it just earned.
